Chemical Peels
Clinically selected chemical peels to refine texture, brighten tone and reveal a fresher-looking complexion.
Overview
Chemical peels can make a meaningful difference to the look and feel of skin when they are chosen with care. At Bavary Clinic, we take a considered, skin-first approach to professional exfoliation, selecting the strength, formulation and treatment area around your individual concerns.
Our peel menu includes options for dullness, uneven-looking pigmentation, rough texture and congested skin, alongside targeted treatments for the back and underarms. Some peels are designed for gentle refinement, while others involve a more visible renewal process and a greater commitment to aftercare.
We will always explain what a peel can realistically achieve, the recovery you may experience and how to support your skin afterwards. The result is a treatment plan that balances visible improvement with respect for your skin barrier.
Results
Results vary between individuals. Images should only be used with informed patient consent and should accurately represent the treatment course and timeframe.

Understanding Chemical Peels in more detail
Professional chemical exfoliation encourages the shedding of surface skin cells and can improve the appearance of tone, clarity and texture.
Before treatment, your practitioner will review your medical and skincare history, paying particular attention to sensitivity, active ingredients, recent procedures and pigment-related risks. The skin is prepared carefully before an appropriate peel is applied.
Treatment sensation and recovery depend on the formulation. You may notice tingling, temporary redness, dryness or peeling, while some of our gentler peels are designed with little or no visible shedding. We will talk through these differences before your appointment.
Your aftercare plan may include a temporary pause in exfoliating products, barrier-supportive skincare and daily sun protection. Where several sessions are helpful, we will recommend a sensible schedule rather than over-treating the skin.

The Bavary Approach™
Clinical judgement before treatment
“The treatment itself is only one part of the recommendation.”
We do not begin with procedures. We begin by understanding you, your concerns and what will genuinely support a balanced, long-term result.
Sometimes that means the treatment you are considering. Sometimes it means preparation first, choosing a different approach or waiting until the time is right.
Our role is not simply to perform treatments. It is to provide thoughtful, evidence-based judgement.
Your treatment journey
Your exact journey will be tailored to the treatment, your individual needs and the recommendations made during assessment.
Consultation
We take time to understand your concerns, medical history and treatment goals before making a recommendation.
Preparation
Any preparation required before treatment will be explained clearly, including relevant skincare or lifestyle guidance.
Treatment
Your treatment is carried out in a calm, controlled clinical setting with your comfort and safety considered throughout.
Aftercare
You receive tailored guidance on recovery, aftercare and what to expect in the days following treatment.
Review
Your progress can be reviewed and any next steps are recommended only where they are appropriate.
Why we may not recommend treatment
A chemical peel may not be recommended during an active skin infection, with a compromised skin barrier, after certain recent treatments or when relevant medications increase sensitivity. Some peels are unsuitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
A history of pigmentation changes, cold sores or abnormal scarring requires particular care. We may modify the peel, delay treatment or recommend an alternative following assessment.
Results and ongoing treatment planning
Results vary according to the treatment selected, your starting point and how your body responds. Some changes may be visible after one appointment, while other goals may require a longer-term plan.
A course or combination of treatments may be recommended, but only where it is clinically appropriate. Ongoing care is tailored rather than prescribed as a fixed schedule.
Frequently asked questions
General guidance only. Your practitioner will explain what applies to you and the treatment being considered.
This depends on your skin type, the cause of pigmentation and your history. We will recommend a suitable option and explain whether a course or a different approach is preferable.
Not always. Some peels involve little visible shedding, while stronger formulations may lead to several days of dryness or peeling. Your practitioner will explain what to expect.
Selected peels can support clearer-looking pores and smoother texture. Active acne, irritation and skin sensitivity will influence which treatment is appropriate.
You may be asked to pause certain active skincare ingredients and avoid tanning or recent exfoliation. We will provide instructions specific to your treatment.
This depends on the peel and your skin response. We will advise when it is appropriate to resume makeup and your usual skincare routine.
