Wellbeing Treatments
PRP
Personalised platelet-rich plasma treatments supporting skin and scalp care through a regenerative approach.
Overview
Platelet-rich plasma, known as PRP, is a treatment made using a concentrated preparation of your own blood. At Bavary Clinic, PRP is offered as part of a considered approach to selected skin, under-eye and scalp concerns, with recommendations based on clinical assessment rather than trends.
Depending on your goals, your treatment may focus on overall facial skin quality, the scalp or the delicate under-eye area. A combined face and hair appointment is also available for those seeking to address more than one concern within a coordinated plan.
We believe regenerative treatments deserve honest conversations about the available evidence, the variability of results and the commitment that may be required. Your practitioner will recommend PRP only when it is suitable for your needs and medical history.
Results
Results vary between individuals. Images should only be used with informed patient consent and should accurately represent the treatment course and timeframe.

Understanding Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) in more detail
PRP involves preparing a concentrated platelet component from your own blood and using it in a selected treatment area after suitability assessment.
Your practitioner will discuss the relevant concern, examine the treatment area and review any conditions or medicines that could affect blood collection, healing or treatment response. A small blood sample is then taken and processed to prepare platelet-rich plasma.
The prepared PRP is used according to your selected facial, scalp or under-eye protocol. Mild discomfort, swelling, redness or bruising may occur. Hair and skin outcomes vary and may require a series of appointments, with improvements assessed over time.
You will receive preparation and aftercare advice specific to the treatment area. If your concerns have a medical cause, particularly hair loss or under-eye darkness, we may recommend additional investigation rather than relying on PRP alone.

The Bavary Approach™
Clinical judgement before treatment
“The treatment itself is only one part of the recommendation.”
We do not begin with procedures. We begin by understanding you, your concerns and what will genuinely support a balanced, long-term result.
Sometimes that means the treatment you are considering. Sometimes it means preparation first, choosing a different approach or waiting until the time is right.
Our role is not simply to perform treatments. It is to provide thoughtful, evidence-based judgement.
Your treatment journey
Your exact journey will be tailored to the treatment, your individual needs and the recommendations made during assessment.
Consultation
We take time to understand your concerns, medical history and treatment goals before making a recommendation.
Preparation
Any preparation required before treatment will be explained clearly, including relevant skincare or lifestyle guidance.
Treatment
Your treatment is carried out in a calm, controlled clinical setting with your comfort and safety considered throughout.
Aftercare
You receive tailored guidance on recovery, aftercare and what to expect in the days following treatment.
Review
Your progress can be reviewed and any next steps are recommended only where they are appropriate.
Why we may not recommend treatment
PRP is not appropriate for everyone. Certain blood or platelet disorders, active infections, blood-thinning medication and other medical conditions can affect suitability and require review.
Results are variable and no degree of hair regrowth, brightening or skin rejuvenation can be guaranteed. Your practitioner will discuss realistic expectations, alternatives and possible side effects before proceeding.
Results and ongoing treatment planning
Results vary according to the treatment selected, your starting point and how your body responds. Some changes may be visible after one appointment, while other goals may require a longer-term plan.
A course or combination of treatments may be recommended, but only where it is clinically appropriate. Ongoing care is tailored rather than prescribed as a fixed schedule.
Frequently asked questions
General guidance only. Your practitioner will explain what applies to you and the treatment being considered.
PRP is prepared from a small sample of your own blood, which is processed to concentrate the platelet-containing component used during treatment.
It may be considered for selected forms of hair thinning. Identifying the underlying cause is important, and a medical assessment or further tests may be recommended.
It may be considered for certain skin-quality concerns, but dark circles have several causes. We will assess whether PRP is likely to be suitable.
The number and timing of sessions depend on the concern and response. Some treatment plans involve a course followed by review.
Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising can occur. We will provide personalised instructions on aftercare and when to resume your normal activities.
